Pinterest is the latest social network capturing everyone’s attention. I like to call it organic hype. Pinterest is a small startup whose popularity generated through word of mouth simply because users love it. The exact opposite of this would be the launch of Google Plus, which was all the rage because… well, it’s Google.

Just to show you how much users love Pinterest, you might be interested to know that the average user spends 89 minutes on there in a month compared to 3 minutes on Google Plus. Source: this infographic.

Ok, so we know people love Pinterest. Heck, I’ve already racked up over 300 pins in less than a month! Now let’s talk about why Pinterest works. According to that infographic I just showed you they are clearly doing something more effectively than other networks right now.
